Thought it would be fun to kick off November with a delicious chai latte recipe to enjoy while getting cozy as the weather gets chillier! I have always been a sucker for a chai latte but going to Starbucks or your local coffee shop on a regular basis isn’t necessarily friendly to your bank account. And these days I am all about finding ways to save money – I will retire by 60 (repeat to yourself 50 times to stop yourself from buying things you don’t need.) I came across a couple different recipes on Pinterest but none of them were quite right. So after trial and error I believe I found the perfect combination.
What you’ll need (makes one chai latte):
1 Tazo chai tea bag
2 cups Califa Farms Vanilla Almond Milk (can substitute for any kind of milk)
1 tbsp Califa Farms Vanilla Creamer
2 tbsp maple syrup
½ tsp vanilla extract
Cinnamon
Ground cloves
Ground nutmeg
Whipping cream (optional)
Instructions:
1. Warm the almond milk in a sauce pan on medium heat. Once it starts to simmer remove it from the heat immediately.
2. Add your Tazo chai tea bag and let steep for 5 minutes.
3. Remove the tea bag then add the creamer, maple syrup and vanilla extract. Whisk until fully mixed.
4. Put back on the stove for a couple minutes until it warms back up.
5. Optional: put the mixture in a blender for 20-30 seconds to make it frothy! Then transfer to mugs.
6. Serve warm with or without whipped cream and sprinkle some cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves on top! NOM NOM.
Enjoy!
Byyyyyeeeee.
