If you live in Colorado then you understand the dry skin struggle! I have a few tricks here and there to help my dry skin in this climate but some times you just need an extra boost. I went to see Jenny at I Heart Skin (she is amazing) with this NEED for hydration and she exceeded my expectations. Not only does she know what she’s doing but she also works with great products. She did her new “5280 Facial” on me using a local brand called Peak 10! They are a skin care company out of Breckenridge!

If you haven’t gotten a facial before this blog will walk you through the 5280 Facial that Jenny at I Heart Skin offers and give you an idea of what you can get done/expect when you go in for some pampering! Since we didn’t get a photo of all the steps I put all of the images at the bottom of the post.

5280 Facial

1. Double Cleanse with Peak 10 Gentle Foaming cleanser
2. Exfoliate with Peak 10 Microdermabrasion Refining Cream – For exfoliation, getting rid of dead surface skin
3. Facial massage with Detoxifying Oil from PCA Skin – facial massage stimulates the skin, while the oil also helps stimulate and detoxify
4. Oxygen-Infusing Mask with Red Light LED – The mask helps deliver oxygen and nutrients to the skin, while the LED stimulates collagen production and provides anti-aging benefits. Both work to promote a healthy glow
5. Wintermint Hydrating Mask from Skin Script RX – Extra hydration for dry Colorado skin 😉
6. Finishing products:
   1. Cucumber Hydrating Toner from Skin Script RX (hydration and helps balance the skin)
   2. Hydro 1000+ Hyaluronic Acid serum – hyaluronic acid plumps and hydrates the skin and also binds moisture to the skin

After the 5280 Facial my skin felt AMAZING. There are SO many benefits to hydrated skin. You age better, feel better and your make up goes on better! After my facial I put on a face of makeup to see how much better it applied. I thought it would go on a little smoother but to my surprise it went on A LOT smoother. I noticed that my fine lines were less noticeable, my complexion was more even and it didn’t really look like I had make up on! However, I don’t really recommend throwing on a full face of makeup only 15 minutes after your facial like I did (I was just on a time crunch lol) I’d at least wait a couple of hours so that your skin really soaks up all the products.

If you are a little tight on money, Jenny is budget friendly! She even offers mini facials for a great price. Anyone in the Denver area should definitely give her a visit!
